All events are weather dependent! Always call ahead to check our latest conditions. Some events require advance registration and have limited participation. Register early! We'd be happy to organize a guided snowshoe hike, ski tour or special event for your group!

DECEMBER

School Closings Due to Snow
Throughout Pineridge Ski Season

  • Dig out and go skiing
  • Pineridge parking lots will be plowed - grooming in progress
  • Teens ski and rent at under 12 rates
  • 12 year olds and under rent for half price and ski for free

JANUARY

Rensselaer Plateau Snowshoe Run
Monday, 1/2 11:00 am

  • No experience necessary
  • Award recognition
  • Empire State Games Qualifier
  • Snowshoe size minimum 120 sq. inches
  • Distance 6.2 KM
  • $10 Preregistered on or before December 26 (Registration form at top of page)
  • $5 Preregistered Children 7 - 12 years of age
  • $12 after December 26. Call 518.283.3652 with credit card information
  • After race - snowshoe on snowshoe trails or convert ticket to Ski ticket for $8
  • If race is cancelled - Registration fees are refunded.

Moonlight Snowshoe/Ski
Friday, 1/6 6pm to 9pm

  • Moonlit and lighted trails, bonfire on the landing
  • Bring snacks & refreshments to enjoy in the lodge after skiing or snowshoeing

Pineridge Ski Fest
Sat. and Sun., 1/7 and 1/8

  • Free lessons for beginners at 11am and 1pm - reduced rental rates
  • Free cross country downhill clinic by experienced Ski School Staff at 12 noon on Saturday & Sunday
  • Toko wax clinic at 12:00 noon. Learn to wax both waxless and waxable Skis with Russ Meyer, Toko Rep

Women's Learn to Ski Day
Wednesday, 1/11, 11:30am

  • Rent skis and get a free lesson - beginner, novice and intermediate
  • Half price lesson with your own equipment

Snowshoe Hike to Perigo Mountain
Saturday, 1/14 10:30am

  • 3 - 4 hour hike led by Pineridge instructor, requires moderate level of fitness
  • Climbing elevation 1,891 feet
  • View of the Catskills, Maycomber Mountain in NY, Mt. Greylock in MA, and the Albany area
  • $25/person which includes snowshoe rental, $15/person without rental

Paintball Biathlon
3 or 5 Km - Snowshoe 3Km - Run or Walk - Classic or free style cross country ski

  • Preregistration - Children $15, Adults $25

  • 10 AM practice with markers at targets

Children Learn To Ski Week
